What happens when you join the Big Fan Racing Club of America?

When you become a member you will immediately be taken to your personal team dashboard. No waiting around!

On your dashboard you will see that you have been given a title with the team. If you happen to be one of the first 100 members from your state you will also become a Founding Member showing that you were one of the first members to join and have faith in the success of the building of the team.

You can then scroll on your personal dashboard and discover the different features available. As the team grows the benefits of membership will continue to grow along with new features.

Let’s get personal

I’m Mark Watkins. The founder of Big Fan Racing in 2001 and the new 2026 version, Big Fan Racing Club Of America.

Big Fan Racing Club Of America is totally grassroots.

There is no big corporation behind us.

Just my experience as a NASCAR team owner in the former Busch Grand National Series in 2001 - 2002 and later as a NASCAR Late Model Series owner. And one of my greatest assets… a lot of friends who are NASCAR professionals at all levels.

So I have to get personal. I’ll be guiding the building of the team which means I’ll be active with members on a daily basis from daily updates to joining members in Discord to announcing breaking news when it happens.

There will be others joining the team as we build but for now you have me and my two sons (who are working behind the scenes). I’m very happy to lead the charge.

For the love of stock car racing

Big Fan Racing Club Of America is dedicated to bringing you a very unusual and exciting adventure to your life as a race fan.

In fact it is so unusual that there is nothing else like it in the world!

There may be other fan clubs out there but none of them are building a team exclusively for their members to interact with like we are.

We’ve done it before but this time it will be much bigger and more exciting

I built Big Fan Racing in 2001 while working as a railroad conductor in Greenville, SC.

I built it with an old desktop computer on landline dial-up (some of you have never experienced that).

I had $100 to start it with and eBay as my only marketplace. Members paid by sending me checks, money orders and cash in the mail. Sometimes that took a while!

Even with those limitations I had over 1,000 members in the first 90 days from 47 states and several foreign countries. Bought the first race car only 3 weeks after launch and was ready to race in the NASCAR Busch Series 6 months later.

Now we have Facebook, YouTube, Google, Instagram, X and many platforms to work with. And smartphones! Can you believe we didn’t even have smartphones back then?

With all of these tools available nothing will hold us back from growing huge over time.

You will become part of a historical story that will be documented daily

Big Fan Racing made history in August 2001 by becoming the only fan built team in NASCAR history to be built from the ground up, enter and qualify and compete in a major NASCAR series race.

54 Busch Series teams showed up to Bristol Motor Speedway that weekend with only 43 spots to make the field. Lance Hooper drove our #89 car to a 35th starting position and 11 teams with much more financing than us packed up and went home. And it all was built by almost 2,000 fans across the nation and world.

It’s the experience that brings the excitement

In 2001 - 2002 Big Fan Racing gave away many prizes and gifts to members along the way including race memorabilia, shirts, hats, pit passes, events with the team, etc. and we will do it again. HOWEVER…

I polled members back then and asked them why they joined Big Fan Racing.

Over 95% of members who responded said that being a part of something unique and different and special and even historical was why they joined.

Not the sheet metal or T-shirts or driver autographs or hats or pit passes or hospitality tents. None of that stuff registered high on their list.

Being part of something that had never been done before that was so unique and special was why they joined. That’s what I’m offering you today. 25 years later and nobody has ever done it again.

So this is where we are now

We just launched (October 31st, 2026).

I’ve priced memberships so ridiculously low for a limited time that there is practically zero financial barrier to joining.

Basically 25 cents - 33 cents a day. About the cost of one sip of a soft drink a day.

One month will cost you… less than the cost of a 4 pack of 12 ounce cans of that energy beverage that gives you wings.

As a paperboy in the 1970s when I was making $12.00 a week even I could have afforded to join this team.

So there is only one question left.

HOW BIG OF A RACE FAN ARE YOU?

I’M ONLY GOING TO ENCOURAGE THE BIGGEST RACE FANS TO JOIN.

ONLY THE BIGGEST RACE FANS IN THE WORLD WOULD DARE BLOW $10 A MONTH JUST TO TAKE A LOOK INSIDE AND SEE WHAT REALLY GOES ON BEHIND SHOP DOORS.

BECAUSE OF ALL OF THESE FACTORS I ENCOURAGE JUST NORMAL, REGULAR FANS TO STOP HERE. BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY DON’T WANT TO GET MIXED UP WITH A BUNCH OF WILD AND CRAZY BIG RACE FANATICS LIKE US BECAUSE WE ARE NOT NORMAL.

Big Fan Racing Club Of America is as grassroots as you can possibly get and at the end of the day it is what it says it is. A club for the biggest race fans in the world.

Things will happen inside the club that the public and normal fans will never get to experience or know about and that’s ok. That’s the way we want it.

You can search everywhere but you will never find anything like this out there because it doesn’t exist. It didn’t exist in 2001 until I made it exist. Not because I’m really smart or anything. I just saw a chance to do something unique in the world of NASCAR and I did it and never looked back.

You can join us today or go back to being a normal fan. Nobody here will hold it against you if you do.

There are fans and there are Big Fans.
